About Somatic Sunday:
Your body is sacred and full of ancient wisdom. How often are you asking your body what it needs, what it desires, how it feels? Let your body be your guide. There is so much magic to be found when we slow down, and tune into the natural impulses, sensations, and movements that live within the body.
In this 90 minute workshop led by ToriAkerley we will begin to deepen the sacred connection to our bodies through breath work, intuitive movement, meditation, and sacred space. We will open class in a community circle where we will connect with the group and ground into the space. Then you will be guided to your mat and led through movement practices that encourage creative expression and freedom. At the end of class there will be more space for sharing with the group and some nourishing Blade & Spade drinks.
With a warm, heart-centered approach to teaching,ToriAkerley, a Certified Yoga Instructor, guides you to feel empowered, present, and free in your body. Her biggest intention is to help you trust your body’s natural desire and ability to heal and be well. Her classes create a safe space to explore breath work and movement that is grounding yet playful, leaving you feeling refreshed and connected to your authentic and vibrant self.Torihas been fascinated by the body for years and began studying yoga at the age of 15. She became a certified yoga instructor in 2019 and has been teaching weekly classes at various locations in Lancaster County ever since.
